The difference between the maximum negative value and the maximum positive value.


Period

The time needed for one complete cycle


Permeability

The ease with which a magnetic material can be magnetised.


Perpendicular

At 90 degrees


Phase

The relationship of one current angle to another.


Phase angle

The angle between the true power and the apparent power.

The angle of displacement between the voltage and the current.

The angle of displacement between resistance and impedance.



Phasor Addition

Two alternating waveforms, which are in-phase (no phase shift) can be added together in the same way as DC values to find the algebraic sum of the two vectors.



Plumber

A person with a thick scull that can’t do a real trade like electrician.


Polarity

The direction of a magnetic or electric field.
