Pentavalent

Pentavalent elements are those elements which have five electrons in their outer shell.

Piezo Electricity

Quartz stuck in between two pieces of metal, which creates an electric charge once vibrated together or struck by an object.

Power

The rate at which work is done.
Power means so many things and yet it means one thing. The work being done could be mechanical; It could be Electrical; It could be chemical; It could be heating. Most of the time for us it will be the product of Voltage and Current. Down the track a little bit it will get a whole lot more complicated. Understand the basics now.

Protective Earth

or earthing for an electrician means connected to the mass of earth.
